Samer Narouze, MD, PhD, MMM, is the Chief of the Division of Pain Medicine at University Hospitals and is board certified in anesthesiology, pain medicine, neurology headache medicine and interventional pain management. He is active in numerous committees for national and international headache and pain organizations, has authored around 250 research papers, peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and edited several books on interventional pain and headache management. Dr. Narouze was awarded the Excellence in Education Award from the European Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Therapy in 2025. He will also be receiving the top global pain recognition award from the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine in 2026.
